Rappelz is one of those mmorpgs that got a got a lot of negative publicity when it was released. This is mainly due to the lazy attention to detail. The game is not browser based and so has decent graphics. However the first thing I noticed when I started playing the game was the poor response time when using the point and click mechanism to move my character around. The problem was simply that when you clicked to move to a location it took 1 second to respond. This all added up to a poor game play experience. Ina lot of other departments Rappelz is a lot like most other online mmorpg games.
Once I got a bit more into the game I found that the camera angles available and the rotation in game play was a bit too limiting. However this did not damage the mmorpg game play experience too much. What is the most damaging factor to this game is the lack of depth. Most massive multi player role playing rpg games have tons of rare item drops character leveling systems, whereas here everything is very basic. In conclusion Rappelz is a decent game and worth a try but do not expect too much from this mmorpg.
